Xiaomi will be launching the phablet Mi Max 3 during the first or second week of July. Rumours are rife that a new product launch from Xiaomi will happen on July 3, and it's widely speculated that Mi Max 3 will be unveiled on that day. Irrespective of these launch date rumours, Xiaomi CEO, Lei Jun, had earlier confirmed the Mi Max 3 would be unveiled in July. Ahead of the launch, pricing details of the Mi Max 3 have been leaked online. Going by this leak, the Mi Max 3 will be priced at 1699 Yuan (approx. Rs 17,835) for the premium variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
As you can see in the image, the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 is being marketed with a 6.99-inch Full HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio. But this image doesn't have information related to the processor. The Mi Max 3 is rumoured to come in two variants- Mi Max 3 and the Mi Max 3 Pro whose specifications were leaked online very recently. The Mi Max 3 will have a primary Sony IMX363 sensor on the rear and it will come bundled with various AI capabilities. The phone is also marketed to offer stereo speaker setup. Yes, the Mi Max 3 will be the first Max smartphone to offer stereo speakers- a welcome move from Xiaomi because most of the Max smartphones are being preferred by multimedia lovers, thanks to the massive screen size.
If that's the price of the premium variant of the Mi Max 3, then the base variant will be even cheaper. The 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant could possibly be 1299 Yuan (approx. Rs 13,636).
Coming to the rumoured specifications of the Mi Max 3, it might come in two variants- one with Snapdragon 636 SoC and the other one with Snapdragon 710 SoC (dubbed as Mi Max 3 Pro). The Max 3 Pro's price will be higher than the price of the Snapdragon 636-powered Mi Max 3. The phablet will have a 5400mAh battery inside and will run MIUI 10 out of the box.
