The OnePlus 6 although won’t go as far ahead as to compete with the likes of Samsung Galaxy S9, but it will still debut as a phone with a lot of upgrades to its predecessor. While the OnePlus 5T was deemed as a worthy upgrade from the OnePlus 5. The OnePlus 6 is really going to shine when compared to the OnePlus 5T. Design
Like we said, the OnePlus 6 goes a step ahead when compared to the previous OnePlus 5T. This time the screen of the phone gets a scale-up and comes in at the size of 6.28-inches with a Full HD+ Super AMOLED display. There is also going to be a notch on the top of the display which has lately been seen on a lot of other smartphones as well.

The company also claims that the OxygenOS on the phone has been optimised to work well with the new notch display. According to the CEO of the company, the phone is still going inherit some of the designs from its predecessor like the light bezels on the lower side which help in accumulating the 3.5mm headphone jack. However, this move by OnePlus is justifiable since the company still retains the headphone jack, unlike other companies which have moved on from the headphone jack in lieu of attaining more screen to body ratio.

In the new design revamp for the OnePlus 6, the phone is going to sport a glass back which is going to also allow for expansion into the wireless charging technology in the future. There is also going to be another premium OnePlus 6 version which will be a limited Avengers Infinity War edition.

Camera
OnePlus CEO Pete Lau published a few images taken from OnePlus 6 on the Chinese site Weibo. After taking a look at the snaps from OnePlus 6, it can be safely said that the camera on the device gets a very worthy upgrade from the last OnePlus 5T. Even though the previous flagship by OnePlus was able to compete with the likes of Galaxy S9 in a lot of departments, it still couldn’t match up to the camera quality of the premium flagships. With this new debut by the company, OnePlus seeks to make some needed upgrades on the camera front of the phone.

However, every year OnePlus hypes the cameras on its smartphones, but the real-life results will be something different. Hopefully, that changes this year.

Specifications
OnePlus is going to stick to its motto of providing flagship like performance at a lower cost with the OnePlus 6 too. This time, the company has packed the phone with Snapdragon 845 as the chipset and this processor will come with the combination of an 8GB RAM. Besides the usual 64GB and 128GB variants of the phone, there are also talks of a 256GB version of the phone. The OnePlus 6 will also be aptly powered by a 3300mAh battery which will run on Android Oreo 8.1 with OnePlus’s very own Oxygen OS on top of it.

Miscellaneous
Besides the usual upgrades in performance, camera and design OnePlus will also have the opportunity of boasting about some minute, but useful revamps to the OnePlus 6. One of the most prominent of these updates is going to be about the alert slider which will come with some additional features with this new launch. There was also a teaser launched for the same which was titled “Slide to focus with the Alert Slider”. There is also another teaser put out by the company which shows the latest OnePlus 6 stacked up on top of its predecessor for a design comparison. In the teaser, we get to notice the antenna lines running on the side and the missing alert slider from the left side. There are also said to be more gestures on the phone which will make full use of the large end-to-end screen on the OnePlus 6.
