New LG G7 ThinQ Render Confirms the Notch Design

The LG G7 ThinQ will be official on May 2 and will arrive to the Indian market during the month of June. Now a new LG G7 ThinQ render has popped online, courtesy of Evan Blass, which seems to have taken from an advertisement of LG that will go live after the official launch of the smartphone. The LG G7 ThinQ will feature a notch, as we have learnt from the previous leak and also comes with a chin, much like several other Android smartphones released this year with a notch. Only the front of the phone is displayed on this render, sadly. The rear side is said to have a glass design, dual camera setup which will have several new AI tricks and the LG branding.

Zooming into today's render revealed the notch size on the G7 ThinQ smartphone. The notch will house with earpiece, front-facing camera and a couple of sensors. The presence of sensors is in-line with a report which appeared earlier suggesting an advanced IRIS scanning technology presence on the G7 ThinQ (earlier known as LG G7).

LG will, of course, tweak the user interface to match with the notch. To the right of the notch, we have the battery bar, battery percentage and signal strength while to the left of the notch, it shows as No SIM card. Maybe, once we insert a SIM card inside the device, the notification icons might appear on the left side.

This new render has arrived from Evan Blass, so this must be the accurate look of the device. The G7 ThinQ will also feature high-end hardware such as Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform, up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It's said to feature a 6.2-inch Quad HD display, and it could be an LCD panel, not the OLED panel because LG is looking to price the device affordably. The phone will run Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with LG's custom skin on top. The dual rear cameras are also expected to feature a standard RDB sensor and a secondary wide-angle lens. We would be hearing more about the LG G7 ThinQ on May 2, so stay tuned.
