Bharti Airtel Offering Up to Rs 1,500 Cashback With Samsung 4G Smartphones

Bharti Airtel has now announced its partnership with mobile manufacturer Samsung to offer cashback on select Samsung 4G smartphones. Airtel is offering a fixed cashback amount of Rs 1,500 on top models from Samsung's popular Galaxy J lineup. The products eligible for the cashback are Samsung Galaxy J2 (2017), Galaxy J5 Prime, Galaxy J7 Prime, and Galaxy J7 Pro. Airtel confirmed that the partnership is part of Airtel's 'Mera Pehla Smartphone' initiative.

Both the Airtel (existing & new) prepaid customers are eligible for this cashback offer. With this cashback offer, Airtel is bringing down the effective price of the four smartphones by Rs 1,500, which is a good thing for long-run users. Also, Airtel did not reveal this offer availability for Airtel postpaid customers.

Airtel prepaid customers with any of the four smartphones mentioned above recharge with the Rs 199 for 24 months will get a cashback of Rs 1,500. The Rs 199 recharge plan of Airtel offers 1GB data per day, unlimited voice calling to any network across the country for 28 days.

As stated, the cashback amount is distributed to customers over 24 months. At the end of 12 months, customers who have done recharges worth Rs 2,500 will be eligible for the first instalment of Rs 300. And the second instalment of Rs 1,200 will be given to the customers only if they have done recharges worth Rs 2,500 or more over the next 12 months.

Also, it's not mandatory for the customer to recharge the Rs 199 tariff plan. Airtel is giving the flexibility to the customers to recharge any denomination, but the overall value of the recharges should exceed Rs 2,500 at the end of first 12 months and Rs 2,500 at the end of second 12 months.

Airtel also confirmed that the offer would be available across the country starting January 7, 2018. Customers can purchase the smartphone from any Samsung retailer and get the recharges done via any Airtel retailer.

With this offer, the Samsung Galaxy J2 (2017) effective price becomes Rs 5,490; the Samsung Galaxy J5 Prime comes down to Rs 10,490; the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime effective price under the offer is Rs 12,400, and lastly, the Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro effective price is Rs 18,400.
