The much-anticipated OnePlus 5T Star Wars Edition is finally here, and boy, it looks insane in that white and red hue. This special edition smartphone is released in collaboration with Walt Disney owned Star Wars franchise on the occasion of series last movie release- Star Wars: The Last Jedi. The special edition OnePlus 5T comes in a single 8GB RAM and 128GB storage option and is priced at Rs 38,999 in the Indian market.

The device is already up for sale on Amazon India and oneplusstore.in. Interested customers can head over to the store and purchase the limited edition device. The OnePlus 5T Star Wars Edition isn't just about the phone, OnePlus is bundling a lot of things inside the retail box- not just the usual OnePlus though.

Inside the Retail Box!
The retail box of the OnePlus 5T looks stunning, and it's entirely different from what we have seen on the previous OnePlus retail boxes. The retail box has Star Wars: The Last Jedi logo printed in the middle, and the right corner, we have the OnePlus logo.

Opening up the box, we have the stunning OnePlus 5T Star Wars edition itself. OnePlus is displaying the device from the back, which is where the entire story lies. Underneath that, we get the usual OnePlus Dash Charger and the warranty & quick start guide.

OnePlus is also bundling a special edition case for this special edition smartphone. And it resembles the popular Kylo Ren's mask from the Star Wars series. However, the case is sort of annoying especially when you place the 5T with the case; it won't settle down as it has a massive bump to it.

That's all we get inside the box of the Special Star Wars edition OnePlus 5T.

Now, let's move onto the phone. As I have been saying since the start of the article, the Star Wars edition 5T looks incredibly good. From the front, it looks the same as the standard 5T, but from the back, there's a massive difference. The special edition 5T has a white back, which OnePlus calls as OnePlus Sandstone White. It offers a good in-hand feel, unlike the metal body on the standard 5T.

My major concern is the back is prone to dust, in fact, a unit displayed by OnePlus at the launch event has the Red colour spread over at the bottom. The Star Wars logo printed at the bottom rear comes in a red hue. The above image gives a good idea of what am saying. Hopefully, it doesn't happen with the retail version of the device though.

Furthermore, OnePlus has slightly customised the OxygenOS to match the Star Wars theme with Red accents everywhere in the interface. Also, there are some Star Wars exclusive wallpapers, which are dope.

That's it for the OnePlus 5T Star Wars edition. Rest of the things are pretty much similar to the standard OnePlus 5T. A 6-inch Full HD+ display is present on the front, and the smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset.

As I stated earlier, the phone comes in a single 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model. It features the same dual-camera setup at the back- a 16MP primary sensor and a 20MP low-light sensor with both having a f/1.7 aperture. The device boots Android Nougat out of the box and is backed by a 3300mAh battery.

The OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition is strictly for Star Wars fans out there. It doesn't offer anything new but comes with an attractive design which is, of course, a treat for the Star Wars fans. That said, OnePlus did not mention how many units it's looking to sell.
