While the tariff plan war is still on between Reliance Jio and incumbent telecom operators, the newcomer is silently dominating the Trai's My Speed monthly data report. In Reliance Jio's nascent stages or to be precise exactly a year ago, the operator was under tremendous pressure due to poor LTE speed claims from the customers.

However, since the start of this year, Trai's MySpeed portal reports have rated Reliance Jio as the fastest telecom operator in India. The telecom regulator has now released the data it collected from speed test reports conducted by several users across the country in the month of July 2017.

And guess what, Reliance Jio is still leading the chart with an average download speed of 18.331 Mbps, nearly double the speed of incumbent telecom operators- Airtel, Vodafone, and Idea Cellular. Both Vodafone India's and Idea Cellular's average download speed saw a dip in July 2017, while Airtel's download speeds are marginally increased.

Vodafone India is now second in the list with an average download speed of 9.325 Mbps, followed by Airtel and Idea Cellular with 9.266 Mbps and 8.833 Mbps. Maybe next month, we might see Airtel coming to the second position, seeing the consistent dip of internet speeds of Vodafone and Idea Cellular.
