BSNL has announced a new Rs. 49 Pratibha Plan for the students of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana circle. This new plan offers both the voice calling and data benefits at a modest price point. However, this plan is applicable only for the new BSNL customers, and that too only for students who submit their ID proof at the time of recharge.
BSNL official terms and condition stands as follows: "The above plan is applicable for students only on submission of ID Card and Rank card of the competitive exams such as NEET, EAMCET, etc. If the student is a minor, the connection will be provided in the name of a parent by collecting POA & POI of parent along with the ID card and rank card of the student."
Having said that, students have to recharge this plan at the time of purchasing the SIM card itself. And yes, this plan would be applicable for MNP connections as well.
Coming to the benefits offered by the plan, it offers Rs. 20 free talk time (main account only) and 300 local and national SMS with a validity of 30 days. Further, it provides unlimited SMS to any network within the home circle and 3GB of data (valid for 30 days).
Talking about the voice calling rates, users can enjoy all the voice calls within the home network at one paise/sec, whereas one national SMS after the completion of allotted 300 SMS will cost 40 paise. These voice calling benefits will be valid for 180 days from the date of recharge.
Another highlight of this plan is users can set a BSNL Onnet mobile/landline number to enjoy unlimited voice calls for 180 days. Customers can set the BSNL number for unlimited voice calls sending an SMS below:
Registration: FFE <OnNet LL/Mobile NUMBER> to 123
Suppose, if you want to change the BSNL number to another one for the unlimited calls option, send a modification message as follows:
Modification: FFM <old number> <new number> to 123
Do make a note that the modification will deduct Rs. 10 from your main balance.
