Last week, HTC confirmed that it would be launching its flagship phone, the HTC U 11 (name according to leaks) on May 16. The vendor also teased it as a ‘squeezable phone,’ and reliable tipster Evan Blass also claimed that the device would come with HTC Edge Sense on-board.

Some renders of the device have also surfaced online, which gave us a glimpse of how the phone will look, but the specifications of the device remained a mystery until now. Today, folks at Gear by Mysmartprice have leaked the complete specs of the HTC U 11, and they are top-notch.

As expected, the device will feature 5.5-inch Super LCD screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 technology on top. Under-the-hood, the phone will get a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset with either 4GB/6GB of RAM. Adreno 540 GPU will take care of graphics of the phone.

It also comes with 64GB/128GB internal storage which is expandable up to 2TB via a microSD. In terms of camera, the leak says that it will come equipped with a 12MP UltraPixel 3 camera with f/1.7 aperture, dual tone LED flash. The phone will also feature a 16MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture.

The HTC U 11 boots Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box with HTC Sense UI on top along with Edge Sense. The presence of HTC Edge Sense was speculated earlier as well. However, there are no details on its implementation for now. The device will come with Bluetooth 5.0 as it received Bluetooth certification last week.

In the audio department, the U 11 is said to come with HTC’s trademark BoomSound technology, HTC Ultrasonic (USonic Active Noise Cancellation), Hi-Res Audio, and 3D Audio Recording. The phone will ship with a USB Type-C port and may get a 3000mAh non-removable battery.

HTC will release the device on May 16. It is expected to come in five color options. The device has already leaked in the red colour variant. Unlike other flagship phones of 2017, the HTC U 11 will not come with the Infinity Display feature.
