Bharti Airtel Customers Are Highly Satisfied In Terms of Data Speeds and Network Coverage: UBS Evidence Lab

Earlier today, we reported that Reliance Jio’s content applications are helping its customers hugely. However, the same report claims that Jio has poor network coverage and reliability than other incumbent operators such as Bharti Airtel, Idea Cellular, and Vodafone India.

According to a survey conducted by UBS Evidence Lab, Airtel customers are the highly satisfied ones when various factors such as data speeds, network coverage, and customer support are taken into consideration. Further, it reveals that Airtel customers have higher levels satisfaction with 62 percent of them being very satisfied and 33 percent of them being somewhat satisfied.

When compared to the same satisfaction levels of Reliance Jio, the incumbent operator is slightly ahead of the new entrant. Among the Jio users, 64 percent of its subscribers are very satisfied, and another 31 percent are somewhat satisfied with its services. The report also said that when they limited the overall active user count by 15 percent, the satisfaction levels went up to as high as 72 percent.

According to the analyzations made by the firm on different attributes, Jio tops in offering best data speeds, value for money, and attractive promotional packages, but falls short of Airtel on network coverage, reliability, and in-building network reach.

The report also confirms that Jio’s voice quality is not that poor, contrary to what other reports claimed in recent times. The voice call quality is on par with rival telecom operators, even with the VoLTE technology.

Finally, Jio is behind other operators in other aspects such as customer service and technical support. When Jio started offering services to the public, its customer support was terrible, but it has improved a lot in recent times. However, getting connected to customer care executive in peak times is still a painful job, and that’s exactly what the report claims as well.

The firm says that it’s important for Jio to provide good customer support to stay in competition with operators such as Airtel, Vodafone, and Idea which are providing much better customer support than the former.

Furthermore, the survey states that the users prefer Reliance Jio based on the value for money aspect, while Vodafone is leading the good customer services department. Surprisingly, customers are looking to stay with Idea Cellular for the data speed it offers, and most of them are looking to move away from Vodafone due to the slow data speed it offers.

We are facing close to zero 3G coverage all of a sudden in 411016 (Pune – Off Senapati Bapat Road) .. inconsistent and unreliable as only Airtel can be and they say there is some upgradation going on. False news this article???

I agree with this news. I am very satisfied with data speeds (25-30Mbps) on Airtel and good coverage in Delhi. I am using a secondary Vodafone SIM but I’m going to port it to Airtel. Voice quality is very good as well. Thanks to Jio, I get very awesome 4G plans like in 244 rupees I get Unlimited Airtel to Airtel calls and 1GB 4G data per day (a 56 day plan) which is prefect for my needs.
