Ambani also revealed that Jio is the quickest one to reach the milestone and has added seven customers every second on average for 170 days. He quoted as: “Jio has added seven customers every single second of every single day. This is an unprecedented level of acceptance for any technology company, anywhere in the world,”.

Besides this announcement, he also shared some insights on how people are consuming mobile data in India. According to Reliance Jio, the 100 million users consumed more than 100 Crore GB of data per month on the Jio network, which turns to more than 3.3 crore GB per day. Currently, Jio is recording nearly 5.5 Crore hours of video calls daily.

Reliance Jio Infocomm (RJIL) has two fold of 4G base stations when compared to any other telecom network in the country and is aiming to cover 99 percent of India by the end of this year. Also, Ambani thanked the Aadhar based eKYC SIM activation system, which played a vital role in the company achieving the 100 Million mark.

'With the Aadhaar-based process, initiating Mobile Number Portability has become a simple and fast process,' he further added. Apart from this, he also announced that the Jio New Year Offer would end on March 31, 2017, and from April 1, the retail tariff plans of Jio will apply to enjoy the services. Nevertheless, there's no revamp of plans, and they remain the same as announced on September 1.

Ambani recalled the tariff plans of the network and said: "On all of Jio’s tariff plans, all domestic voice calls to any network will always remain FREE." And, Jio is promising to deliver 20 percent of more data on all of its tariff plans, when compared to rival operators.

Apart from this, there's a new 'JioPrime' membership, which allows the customers to enjoy unlimited data for just Rs. 303 per month. However, this JioPrime subscription is limited to only the 100 million consumers who are already in the network and the subscription will officially kickstart from March 1, 2017, and will close on March 31, 2017.
