5 Smartphones Under Rs. 25,000 With Great Battery Life and 4G VoLTE Support

Ever since the introduction of Reliance Jio’s unprecedented ‘Welcome Offer’, demand for 4G VoLTE smartphones has surged in India. While most of the smartphones launched in the recent past do support 4G networks (along with VoLTE support), not many address one of the biggest issues of smartphone users.

Yes, we are talking about the battery life here. It has been a perennial problem for smartphone users. And things get only worse when people start consuming content over 4G. While many smartphones offer support for fast charging technologies, wouldn't it be great to have a smartphone that lasts long?

Here’s a list of five smartphones priced under Rs. 25,000 that offer impeccable battery life along with 4G VoLTE support. Note: Except for the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime (suggested by one of our colleagues), we have used all the below phones with Reliance Jio SIM card.

Moto Z Play

A battery monster. Period. Moto Z Play, the company’s first attempt at modular technology has a mammoth 3510mAh battery. But, what’s important here is the Snapdragon 625 chipset which is optimized to a great extent to deliver exceptional battery life.

The phone eked out nearly one and half day of battery life with continuous usage of 4G using Reliance Jio. It regularly clocked seven hours of screen-on time in our usage period.

Lenovo Z2 Plus

Lenovo Z2 Plus is the cheapest smartphone in India currently to come powered with flagship Snapdragon 820 SoC. The phone comes preloaded with ZUK’s in-house ZUI, which is heavily tweaked to save battery life even on heavy usage.

The Z2 Plus ships with a 3500mAh battery, which in our usage period delivered one full day with nearly 30 percent of charging left even when 4G was turned on throughout the day. The phone offered a little less than five and half hours of screen-on time, which is quite an achievement considering the flagship chipset.

Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime

Samsung has been doing a great job in terms of battery life with all their smartphones. And Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime, the company’s first metal bodied smartphone shipped with a 3300mAh battery is no exception.

According to our colleague, the Galaxy J7 Prime can easily last for one complete day with heavy usage along with a screen-on time close to five hours.

Xiaomi Redmi 3s/ 3s Prime

We just have one word to describe this Xiaomi phone: ‘Battery on a Budget.' The Redmi 3s comes with a massive 4100mAh (the biggest among all the other phones in this list). The smartphone offered us a battery life of two days on moderate usage, thanks to its 720p screen.

In terms of screen-on time, the sub-Rs. 10,000 phone offered us nearly eight hours of screen-on time in our usage period, which we must say is exceptional.

Lenovo K6 Power

The new entrant in the Indian market is aimed to compete with the Xiaomi Redmi 3s and did manage to impress us as far as battery is concerned. The Lenovo K6 Power comes with a 4000mAh battery and offers a screen-on time of nearly six hours, little less than its competitor but still pretty decent.

So, if you are planning to upgrade your smartphone and are battery conscious, these smartphones make a good bargain. In case you already own one of the devices in this list do share your experience with it in the comments section below.
