MobiKwik facilitates e-cash payments for Tatkal ticket bookings

The mobile wallet service MobiKwik has partnered with Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) to launch e-cash payments for Tatkal bookings. According to MobiKwik, IRCTC customers can book Tatkal train tickets within two seconds using its service.

Speaking about the new partnership, Upasana Taku, Co-founder at MobiKwik said, “MobiKwik collaborated with Indian Railways to digitize payments on the IRCTC app and IRCTC FoodOnTrack app this year, and now we are powering payments for tatkal online, that will help users book tickets almost instantly. We are proud to support the largest rail network in Asia in their endeavor to digitize payments and provide the best payments experience to their users.”

Designed for the customers who plan journeys during the last moment or for those who fail to secure a seat reservation otherwise, Tatkal is a high demand service of IRCTC. On an average, around 15% daily ticket bookings of IRCTC happen under Tatkal. This facility is available at www.services.irctc.co.in and users can book their tickets between 8 am-12 pm daily.

The payment within two seconds on Tatkal service claim of MobiKwik will work only if you have preloaded the e-wallet with desired amount using net banking, credit or debit card or cash loading. MobiKwik has cash pick up service in New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Surat, and Jaipur. Users can also To identify a MobiKwik location, users can check the nearby tab of MobiKwik app.

MobiKwik has around 35 million users with 100,00 retailers. Besides IRCTC, MobiKwik has established partnership with several other services such as Uber, Meru Cabs, Big Bazaar, OYO Rooms, Zomato, PVR, Archies, WHSmith India, BookMyShow, Grofers, Big Basket, Dominos, Burger King, Pizza Hut, eBay, ShopClues, Myntra, Jabong, Pepperfry, Barista, Food Panda, Nearbuy, Van Heusen, Allen Solly, Louis Phillips, GoDaddy, MakeMyTrip.
