Bharat Sanchar Nigam (BSNL) has announced revision of Wi-Fi Hotspot plans across India. Apart from revising existing plans, BSNL has also introduced new promotional WiFi plans. The new tariff will come to with effect from May 27, 2016 and promotional WiFi plans will be available for a period 90 days.
BSNL has revised existing WiFi plans WiFi 30 and WiFi 50 to offer increased data usage of 300MB and 500MB respectively. The validity of both plans have been increased to 7 days and 14 days.
At the same time, BSNL WiFi 90 and WiFi 150 plans have been revised to WiFi 80 and WiFi 100 offering reduced data usage of 500MB and 1GB respectively. The plans now comes with increased validity of 28 days as promotional offer for 90 days.

BSNL has also introduced 7 new promotional WiFi plans for period of 90 days. The new plans are priced from Rs 10 to Rs 599 and offer almost double data when compared to existing 2G/3G plans from BSNL. However, the validity of the plans are lower than current WiFi plans.

BSNL has stated that the above promotional plans will be offered only at locations where there are no existing BSNL services. This is to ensure there are no impact for existing BSNL Broadband/3G services due to the introduction of the WiFi plans. WiFi Hotspot Services is being offered by BSNL at different locations in association with Hot Spot Service Provider on revenue sharing basis.
