In a bid to encourage customers to pay their bills online, BSNL has now started embedding QR codes on monthly bills. The move by BSNL would help thousands of BSNL users who pay their bill online. It would also encourage the customers who have been opting to pay the bill by going to BSNL exchanges instead of paying it online.

So this is how the QR code will work, BSNL customers would just have to scan the code through a QR code reader app on their smartphones, which will then redirect them to a link of their individual payment gateway page. On the payment page, users will get to choose a payment option, such as net banking or credit/debit cards options.

Until now, BSNL had just been using their own portal for the payment section. The new QR payment method is completely safe and customers would not have to worry for entering other details regarding their connection number or bill amount.

This initiative by BSNL will undoubtedly improve customer satisfaction, and will also save them from paying visit BSNL exchanges every month. However, BSNL has only rolled the service in Kerala, but there are fair chances that it will make it available in more circles soon.

If you are a BSNL Postpaid user then let us know how you choose to pay your bill? Are you going to use the QR code method if it is made available in your circle?
