Motorola launched the Moto X force, a smartphone with an unbreakable display, in October. Today, Motorola’s India GM, Amit Boni announced at an event that the company is planning to bring the flagship smartphone to India soon. However, he didn't reveal a set timeline and pricing of the device for the Indian market.
As already mentioned above, the main feature of the Moto X Force is its shatter-proof screen, which is touted by the company to last for up to four years. Motorola has integrated the phone with ‘Moto Shattershield’ technology, which combines multiple screen layers to absorb the shock and prevent it from shattering. Interestingly, to make the deal more attractive, Motorola will offer a 4 year warranty on the display.
Coming on to the specifications, the Moto X Force comes with a 5.4-inch Quad HD flexible P-OLED display, and is powered by a Snapdragon 810 octa-core chipset coupled with 3GB of RAM. It is available in 32GB/64GB internal storage options, which can be further expanded up to 2TB via microSD card. The phone sports a 21-megapixel primary camera with dual-LED flash, along with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. In the connectivity department, it supports 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop, and is backed by a 3,760mAh battery. The Moto X Force comes in a Black Ballistic Nylon finish with water repellent nano-coating, but the device is not water-resistant. It weighs 169 grams and measures 7.6mm.
