Mr. Arvind Bali the Director and CEO of Videocon Telecom seems to be overjoyed with the cabinet nod for the spectrum trading norms. He is hopeful that it will enable his company to grow and flourish in the Indian market. below is his official statement to the press.

“We welcome the much awaited and sought after Spectrum trading policy, and we are sure that this go a long way in putting spectrum which is an important and scarce natural resource to most efficient use thus bringing new technologies for consumers improving quality of service, reduce no of towers required, reducing call drops etc

Now with the announcement of Spectrum trading policy, the entire roadmap gets clear with already announced Spectrum sharing and M&A policies. This will make decision making between operators very quick and soon we will see telcos signing pacts.

We are already in active discussions with 3 Telecom operators on exploring possibilities around spectrum sharing and spectrum trading, and now with the announcement of spectrum trading policy, the discussion will gain momentum and soon we will conclude the pact(s).”
