Nokia handsets are soon to be back in the market! Finnish telecom giant has reconfirmed its plans to manufacture and license its handsets in 2016. Irrespective of its partnership with Microsoft, Nokia will brand its handsets in its name report thestar.com.my.
Fourth quarter of 2016 is the tentative time period said by the company when the market can expect Nokia handsets. On query of its delayed decision on the matter, the company said that it was looking for a suitable partner for manufacturing, sales, marketing and customer support for the handsets. However, Nokia has not revealed any addition of new partners on this venture.
Nokia sold its mobile phone business to Microsoft in 2014 due to a decline in sales. From thereon, the market witnessed a change of name for Nokia handsets as Microsoft.
