Gionee, the Chinese OEM has been one of the few ones who have tried to stick to offline retail over online retail in today's day and age. Its not like that its devices aren't available online but offline retail stores have been the primary driver of its sales. It has just launched the Pioneer P4S in the country for Rs 7,799.

The Pioneer P4S comes with a 4.5-inch display and runs Android 4.4 KitKat. There's a 1.3GHz quad-core processor ticking inside it and 1GB of RAM complements it. It comes with a free flip cover and the device will go on sale right away in the country. Let us take a quick look at the specifications of the device:

  • 4.5-inch display with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels
  • Android 4.4 KitKat
  • MediaTek MT6582 processor SoC, 1.3 GHz quad-core CPU, 1GB RAM
  • 8GB of internal storage which is expandable by up to 32GB with a microSD card
  • 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 2-megapixel front camera
  • 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, FM Radio and dual SIM
  • 1,800 mAh battery

There is no information about the device's Lollipop update roll-out and it seems like a pretty overpriced device from what we are seeing. If you are planning on buying a device between Rs 7,000-8,000, the Lenovo A6000 Plus would make for a much better device.
