MTS makes the deal sweeter by offering free access to WhatsApp and Viber on its Homespot (FUP of 2GB on free usage of WhatsApp and Viber applicable). MTS is the only pure CDMA operator which competes in the GSM dominated market and must, therefore, keep its tariffs low to retain its market share of subscribers. MTS will not be participating in the upcoming spectrum auctions on account of high base price of 800MHz spectrum.
