Lumia 535 to be the first Microsoft branded Windows Phone device?

On Friday, Microsoft teased an announcement of the first Windows Phone device to bear Microsoft's branding. It is expected that the Lumia 535 would be the first Windows Phone device with the Microsoft own branding. It would be an entry-level smartphone based on Windows Phone 8.1 and will feature a 5-inch qHD display, a quad-core Snapdragon 200 processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, a 5-megapixel primary camera with autofocus and LED flash, a VGA front-facing camera, dual-SIM card slot, and a 1,900 mAh battery.

Microsoft first announced its deal to acquire mobile handset business of Nokia back September 2013 for around $7.17 billion and completed the acquisition in April 2014. Even after the acquisition was completed, Microsoft still released Nokia branded smartphones but the Lumia 535 would be the first Microsoft branded device, retiring Nokia's brand once and for all.
