HTC has created a name for itself by offering consumers with some of the premium handsets that feature newest technology. The company has introduced some exciting handsets this year. News is that HTC has just launched three new smartphones belonging to its Desire series. One of them is the HTC Desire 501. This device has been released in the market at the price of Rs. 16,890. Let us have a quick look at some of the main features and specifications of this smartphone:

Display: The HTC Desire 501 device comes with a capacitive touch display of 4.3 inches that provides a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels.

Processor: This smartphone has been equipped with a NovaThor U8520 dual core processor clocked at 1.15 Giga Hertz.

Operating System: The HTC Desire 501 functions on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean platform.

Camera: This device has been loaded with a primary camera of 8 mega pixels with auto focus, BSI sensor and LED flash features. It also comes with a secondary camera of 2.1 mega pixels that features 88 degree ultra wide angle lens.

Memory: This smartphone comes with a RAM of 1 GB. It offers an inbuilt storage capacity of 8 GB and up to 32 GB expandable storage capacity with the help of a micro SD card.

Connectivity Features: The HTC Desire 501 smartphone offers connectivity features such as Bluetooth 4.0 with aptX, Wi-Fi, GPS, DLNA and 3G HSDPA.

Other Features: It is a dual SIM handset that features a 3.5 mm audio jack. This handset is available in 3 color variants: white, pink and blue.

Battery: This device works on a battery of 2100 mAh.

Our Take: The HTC Desire 501 smartphone is a decent device with fine features. However, smartphones of other manufacturers that are similarly prices offer quad core processor and Android 4.2 version, unlike Desire 501. This may disappoint a few potential buyers.6,890
