HTC Desire 601 goes on sale for Rs 24,190

HTC is known for manufacturing high end smartphones that offer excellent, latest technology combined with aesthetic design and highly useful features. The company has just released three new smartphones in its ‘Desire’ series of handsets. One of them is the HTC Desire 601 Dual SIM smartphone. This device has been launched at a price of Rs. 24,190. Let us have a review of some of the chief features and specifications of this smartphone:


Display: The HTC Desire 601 Dual SIM smartphone carries a capacitive touch display of 4.5 inches that offers a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels.

Processor: This smartphone has been equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 dual core processor clocked at 1.4 Giga Hertz.

Operating System: This device works on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean platform.

Camera: The HTC Desire 601 dual SIM device comes with a rear camera of 5 mega pixels with 1080p video recording, LED flash and BSI sensor features. It also offers a front facing shooter of 0.3 mega pixels.

Memory: This device provides a RAM of 1 GB. It features an internal storage space of 8 GB and up to 64 GB expandable storage capacity with the help of a micro SD card.

Connectivity Features: The connectivity features included in the HTC Desire 601 Dual SIM smartphone are Bluetooth 4.0 with aptX, Wi-Fi, GPS/ GLONASS, 3G HSDPA.

Other Features: It is a dual SIM smartphone that supports micro SIMs. This device comes with dual front stereo speakers, HTC BlinkFeed, HTC BoomSound, 3.5 mm audio jack and a wide range of other exciting features.

Battery: This smartphone runs on non-removable battery of 2100 mAh.

Our Take: HTC Desire 601 Dual SIM smartphone is a good device with some exciting features. However, its dual core processor is a disappointment, since quad core processors are becoming a staple in the smartphones of this price range. Also, HTC Desire 601 Dual SIM is a little over priced.

HTC doesn’t consider competition from Samsung, Sony & LG anymore so losing market and recently we heard of talks being going on as HTC for sale.


Way Overpriced for outdated hardware.. No wonder why HTC is going down. By adding some extra money, one can get a Nexus 5 which has superior hardware compared to this one.
