Is Vodafone RTP 149 worth enrolling? : Our Analysis

Follow Us

Some time back I came up with an analysis on Post-pay RTP and RTP FR plans of Idea cellular and those plans are really not a worthy stuff after paying huge price. Let’s see what Vodafone IN has in store for its post-pay users who are frequent travelers or who always be on roaming using the same number.

Plan Simplicity: Vodafone IN wants its plans to be simple, affordable, and clear. Hence priced both RTP and RTP – FR at same price of 149.Thus making the plan very clear and clever.

Vodafone India Roaming Tariff PlanHome and Roam Benefit in both the plans:

Voice: 100 Local/STD calls applicable while at home and *Roaming

SMS: 100 Local/STD sms applicable while at home and *Roaming

Pulse: RTP – is /sec pulse while RTP – FR is /minute pulse.

Comparison of both the plans:  RTP is having 1.2p/sec tariff which is an advantage over RTP-FR which is having /min tariff. As the name suggests RTP –FR is having a benefit of incoming free on roaming which is absent in RTP. So, one can take RTP plan and add a *PROMO pack of ±75 so that one can get free incoming calls while roaming and enjoy 1.2p/sec tariff compared with RTP-FR which is not as lucrative as RTP if you are a heavy user.

Highlights of the plans: You get 100 Local/STD calls, 100 Local/STD sms even in Home or roaming on Vodafone Network. Suppose if we calculate 100 National sms sent on roaming i.e. 100*1.50=150 Rs, you are getting in return what as a user you have invested along with 100 local/STD voice calls as well.

Vodafone RTP

These two plans are same across all the circles Vodafone is present except Mumbai where the benefits are very less compared to other circles and Jammu and Kashmir where these two plans are not available.

Mumbai Circle Plans:

Vodafone Mumbai RTP

*Please check with cc of respective circles before subscribing to any of these plans. These plans are released sometime back and this is just our analysis on specific plans provided by operators.Roaming benefits when latched to Vodafone Network Only.

If you are a frequent traveler or a user who always be on roaming without changing your primary number and want to be on postpaid, RTP 149 from Vodafone IN is just for you. Please be noted that if enrolled in RTP or RTP-FR no other voice/sms benefit promos can be added to the base plan even in home or roaming except the ones offered. Dear Subscribers are you already on any of these plans? If so let us know about your experience and usage patterns.
