India’s first 4G LTE Smartphone Huawei Ascend P1 LTE Launched with Bharti Airtel

Huawei today announced the launch of its Ascend P1 4G LTE smartphone in India, which becomes the country’s first 4G LTE smartphone. Huawei has launched this smartphone with Bharti Airtel and it will run on Airtel’s LTE 4G network commercially available in Kolkata and Bangalore and also in Pune from 18th October.




The Huawei P1 LTE 4G smartphone running on Android 4.0.4 ICS with a variation of Huawei's very light custom skin, power-packed with a qHD 4.3-inch AMOLED touch screen with a resolution of 960×540 pixels and with scratch-resistant corning Gorilla glass protection, a dual-core processor Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, 1GB of RAM, 4GB internal memory, a microSD card slot, 8 Mega pixel camera, a 1.3 Mega pixel front-facing camera and 1,800-mAh battery.

Huawei Ascend P1 launched in India runs on a Qualcomm chipset which supports the LTE 2300MHz band used by Indian operators including Bharti Airtel to offer seamless Roaming between 4G LTE and 3G /GSM network across India. The device can handles high speed data on the LTE network (4G) and voice calls on the underlying 3G network using Circuit Switched Voice Fall Back (CSFB voice) technology.
