Uninor, the Indian arm of Norway’s telecom major Telenor has made several efforts in Maharastra Goa circle to promote the brand to reach more people. The company has started the next phase of expansion in this circle. The plan includes expansion of network coverage, strengthening the existing network and retail presence. Recently Uninor has launched Roam free plans for its customers.
Uninor, one of the fastest growing mobile operator is promoting its brand as ‘Sabse Sasta‘ in all circles and continues to offer ‘cheap and best’ tariffs to its subscribers.
Ritesh Singh, Circle Business Head of Maharashtra and Goa circle announced the next phase of expansion, “I am delighted to announce the next phase of expansion for the circle. With this expansion, Uninor will now have over 70000 retail outlets, 3487 Base Transceiver Stations and 300 Franchise Owner Franchise Operated (FOFO) stores across the state. We will also kickstart the ‘Dhoom Machale’ Roadshow from Pune; covering over 685 km and visiting Bhiwandi, Nasik, Pimpalgaon and Ahmednagar as a part of the roadshow.” Uninor CEO will join the roadshow along with Uninor circle team and Delhi Corporate team for 3 days to visit top cities as well as tier II and III cities to promote the brand.
Updates from Nasik
Uninor has earlier launched Auto-Recharge initiative in Pune. Under this initiative some auto richshaw drivers become Uninor’s recharge kiosks to offer recharges on the move. With massive response in Pune, Uninor extended the game plan in Nasik. In first phase 15 specially branded auto-rickshaws with extensively trained drivers will make Uninor connections and recharges available to their passengers. This number will be scaled up to 100 branded auto-rickshaws in Nasik within the next 6 months.
