With the changing dynamics of the telecom market in India, Tata DoCoMo, the unified telecom brand of Tata Teleservices has slashed the prices of 3G data in the Maharashtra & Goa circle in an attempt to bag more data-heavy users.

With this reduction in the price of data pack, Tata DoCoMo becomes the fourth company after Airtel, Vodafone, and Idea to do so in the past few weeks. This move by Tata DoCoMo came when Vodafone introduced Double Data & lowered the data prices, which forced Idea Cellular to cut down data pack rates.
The telco has revised only the popular 3G data packs, but other data packs have remain unchanged. Tata DoCoMo customers in the mentioned region will now get 1GB of 3G data at just Rs. 208 instead of earlier pricing of Rs. 249, while recharging with Rs. 249 offers 1.25GB of 3G data.

Latest subscription data from TRAI clearly shows that Tata DoCoMo gained more new customers than Airtel, Vodafone, and Idea in that region, which might be because of their low fares.
