In Kerala, Docomo 3G service was available in Alapuzha, Ernakulam, Kozhikode, Perumbavoor and Thiruvananthapuram. With addition of four new cities, Docomo 3G service is now available in total of 9 cities in Kerala circle.

Docomo won 3G spectrum for Kerala circle along with Idea in 2009 and was the first private operator in the country to launch 3G service on November 2010. After initial launch in few cities, Docomo 3G expansion had stalled for several years. At the same time, Idea has covered almost every town in Kerala and BSNL also fastly catching up. Latest move from Docomo seems to meet rollout obligation before August 2015 deadline.
