Samsung Galaxy M30 and the Galaxy M20 are the two new phones to get Android 10 update in India. Samsung originally planned to push the update to both the mid-range phones in January 2020, however, similar to the Galaxy S10 series which received the Android 10 update ahead of schedule, both the M30 and M20 are also getting the same treatment now. The Galaxy M20 has the build number- M205FDDU3CSL4, whereas the Galaxy M30 has M305FDDU3CSL4 number. Notably, Samsung is also updating its custom skin OneUI to OneUI 2.0 and it's now based on Android 10. OneUI 2.0 comes with several new features including dark theme, smoother animations and so on. In separate news, Samsung also unveiled the Galaxy A51 and Galaxy A71 smartphones with Android 10 today.

Samsung Galaxy M20, M30 Android 10 Update: What to Need to Know

A few weeks ago, everyone expected that Samsung would go into 2020 without having a single phone running Android 10. But the South Korean company proved everyone wrong by pushing the OneUI 2.0 major update based on Android 10 to the Galaxy S10 series including Galaxy S10, S10+ and the S10e. And now, the company is pushing the update to Galaxy M20 and M30 mid-range phones which were released earlier this year.

As for the update details, it weighs just over 1.29GB in size and both the M20 and M30 users will get it via OTA. As mentioned above, users will notice revamped user interface, system-wide dark mode, new animations and so on. Also, Samsung has added the new gestural navigation, which Google officially introduced with Android 10.

Samsung did not confirm whether the OneUI 2.0 update to Galaxy M20 and M30 smartphones is a phased one. Most likely, the update is being rolled out in a phased manner, so it will not reach every Galaxy M20 or M30 owner right away. We suggest you wait for a few weeks for the OTA to arrive on your handset. To check for the OTA update, head over to System Updates section inside the Settings app.

Samsung Launches Galaxy A51 and Galaxy A71 With Android 10

In other news, Samsung today announced two new mid-range phones in Vietnam. The phones in question are Galaxy A51 and Galaxy A71 which are successors to the Galaxy A50s and the Galaxy A70s, respectively. As for the specs, the Galaxy A51 rocks a 6.5-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display on the front and it's powered by an octa-core chipset. Samsung has added a quad-camera setup on the back with a 48MP primary lens. Other three sensors on the A51 include 12MP ultra-wide-angle shooter, 5MP macro sensor and a 5MP depth sensor is also present. On the front, the handset features a 32MP selfie shooter. The Galaxy A51 is backed by a 4000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.

On the other hand, we have the Galaxy A71 which flaunts a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED screen, punch-hole on the centre of the screen, octa-core CPU, 4500mAh battery, 64MP quad-camera setup on the back and a 32MP selfie shooter is also present.

Both the Galaxy A51 and the Galaxy A71 smartphones come with Android 10-based OneUI 2.0 out of the box. Samsung did not reveal the launch date of both the phones for the Indian market, but we're expecting them to come out by the end of this year itself.
