Reliance Jio has made changes to the tariff plans on December 6, but thankfully, the company did not increase the prices of JioPhone plans. Instead of hiking the plan prices, Jio has removed the most affordable Rs 49 JioPhone recharge plan and the new recharges now start at Rs 75. A few weeks ago, Jio introduced All-in-One plans for JioPhone users and the Rs 75 plan is part of the same. Other plans such as Rs 99, Rs 153, Rs 297 and Rs 594 are also available for recharge, but JioPhone users will have to shell out additional IUC Top-Up charges to get non-Jio minutes. We have approached Reliance Jio for an update regarding the removal of JioPhone Rs 49 plan and will update this post once we get any revert from the company.

JioPhone Rs 49 Plan No Longer Available to Recharge

Reliance JioPhone attracted a lot of consumers across the country, thanks to its affordable price tag of Rs 1,500. But what excited several JioPhone users is the Rs 49 plan. With this plan, Jio offered the users unlimited voice calling without any FUP limit and 1GB of data for 28 days. But after the introduction of IUC Top-Up vouchers, JioPhone users getting the Rs 49 plan had to shell out additional charges for non-Jio minutes.

And now, the plan has been removed altogether. Last week, Reliance Jio updated its tariff plans by hiking the prices and the removal of Rs 49 JioPhone plan is part of the same. While the company did not increase prices of JioPhone plans, the base recharge pack now starts at Rs 75.

Last month, Reliance Jio came up with JioPhone All-in-One recharges which bundles non-Jio minutes. The All-in-One plans for JioPhone users are Rs 75, Rs 125, Rs 155 and Rs 185. The Rs 75 pack ships with unlimited Jio-to-Jio voice calling, 500 minutes of non-Jio calls, 100MB data per day and a total of 50 SMSes valid for 28 days from the date of recharge. Going forward, all the Rs 49 JioPhone recharge lovers can make use of the Rs 75 All-in-One recharge which also comes bundled with non-Jio minutes.

Jio Retains Older Recharges of Rs 99 and Rs 153 for JioPhone Users

Do make a note that Reliance Jio has removed just the Rs 49 JioPhone plan. Earlier JioPhone plans like Rs 99, Rs 153, Rs 297 and Rs 594 are still available for recharge, but again, users will have to shell out additional IUC Top-Up recharge value to get non-Jio voice calling minutes.

The Rs 99 JioPhone comes with 0.5GB data per day (total of 14GB for 28 days), 300 SMSes and unlimited Jio-to-Jio voice calling for 28 days. The Rs 153 pack offers 1.5GB data per day, unlimited Jio-to-Jio voice calls and 100 SMSes per day for the same 28 days validity. The long-validity JioPhone plans of Rs 594 and Rs 297 offer up to 84GB data, unlimited Jio-to-Jio calling and up to 168 days validity.

There are four JioPhone All-in-One recharges available as well and they are priced at Rs 75, Rs 125, Rs 155 and Rs 185. The Rs 125 pack offers 500MB data per day, unlimited voice calling, 500 non-Jio minutes and 300 SMSes for 28 days. The Rs 155 recharge ships with 1GB data per day, 100 SMSes per day, unlimited Jio-to-Jio voice calling and 500 minutes of non-Jio calls for 28 days. Lastly, the Rs 185 JioPhone All-in-One recharge comes with 2GB data per day and the rest of the benefits are similar to Rs 155 plan.
