Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro is all set to make its debut in India on October 16, the company has confirmed on Twitter right after the Redmi 8 launch. The Redmi Note 8 Pro will be the third smartphone to launch in India with a 64MP rear camera and the only phone right now in China with the said camera sensor is the Realme X2. Xiaomi introduced the Redmi Note 8 Pro last month in China and the phone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G90T chipset. Chipset maker, MediaTek, already confirmed that Xiaomi would launch the Note 8 Pro in India with its flagship and gaming-centric Helio G90T SoC. For the unaware, the Helio G90T is a powerful chipset and it even beats the likes of Snapdragon 730 series in the benchmark scores, so it'll be interesting to see how the phone performs in real life.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro: What it Offers to the Users?

Xiaomi's Redmi Note 8 Pro is the first phone in the world to ship with the MediaTek Helio G90T chipset. The phone comes with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage; Even in India, we may see the company launching the phone in an 8GB RAM variant because of the gaming-centric features. As for the other specs, the phone rocks a 6.53-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and teardrop notch on top. That said, the Note 8 Pro does not offer full-screen experience and the fingerprint scanner is also placed on the rear side. So, we may have to wait for another iteration of Redmi Note series to offer in-display fingerprint scanners.

Cameras on the Note 8 Pro include a primary 64MP Samsung GW1 sensor, clubbed with 2MP macro lens, 8MP wide-angle sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. This is the same camera setup we get on the Realme XT as well, but the aperture sizes are different on the primary sensor. The Redmi Note 8 Pro also has a 4500mAh battery and support for fast charging as well. Similar to the Redmi Note 7 Pro, the Note 8 Pro also features a glass back protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Redmi Note 8 Pro: At What Price Should Xiaomi Launch it in India?

When it comes to specifications, the Redmi Note 8 Pro is a beast on paper, especially in the processor department. Before discussing the expected price of the upcoming Note 8 Pro, let's stroll back and check at what prices the last two Redmi Note Pro phones launched in India. First of all, the Redmi Note 5 Pro and the Redmi Note 7 Pro made their debut in India first, before reaching other markets, however, that's not the case with the Redmi Note 8 Pro.

The Note 5 Pro and Note 7 Pro both arrived in two variants and the pricing was the same at Rs 13,999. Even with the Snapdragon 675 chipset onboard, Xiaomi managed to keep the pricing of the Note 7 Pro at Rs 13,999. This time as well, we're expecting the Redmi Note 8 Pro to start at Rs 13,999 because the phone lacks an AMOLED panel and the in-display fingerprint scanner. But the MediaTek Helio G90T is something that differentiates the Redmi Note 8 Pro from the competition. The official India launch of the smartphone is just a few days away; On the same day, Xiaomi will reveal the prices, colour variants and availability of the smartphone.
