Realme X2 Pro is the company's first flagship smartphone which was launched in Europe and China a few weeks ago. The Realme X2 Pro comes with ColorOS 6.1 out of the box based on Android 9 Pie. Realme China, today confirmed that the X2 Pro along with Realme X2 would be updated to Android 10 sometime in Q2 2020. Realme India already revealed that it would start seeding Android 10 update to four smartphones- Realme 5 Pro, Realme 3 Pro, Realme XT and Realme X in Q1 2020. The Realme X2 Pro is all set to launch in India on November, alongside the Realme X2 or the Realme XT 730G. We're expecting the company to reveal Android 10 update roadmap for two phones on the launch day itself. That said, the Q2 2020 update timeline for Realme X2 and X2 Pro is for the Chinese market and not the Indian market.

Realme X2 and X2 Pro Android 10 Update to Arrive in Q2 2020

Generally, smartphone brands release software updates faster to their newly launched devices. But Realme seems to be in a different league. In China, the Realme X1 Lite, Realme X and the Realme Q will receive the Android 10 update in Q1 2020, but the Realme X2 and the X2 Pro will get it only in Q2 2020. Notably, Oppo and Realme already confirmed that the ColorOS 7.0 update would be based on Android 10. Especially, for the Indian users, ColorOS 7.0 will feature close resemblance to stock Android, but we're not sure how this works out for the company.

This news will come as a surprise to many out there. The Realme X2 Pro was launched just two weeks ago and the company says it will release the Android 10 update sometime in Q2 2020. Being a flagship smartphone, the Realme X2 Pro should get the update first. That said, we're not sure about the actual development though. Realme may release ColorOS 7.0 update based on Android 9 Pie to the Realme X2 Pro by the end of this year. And later on in Q2 2020, it could actually release Android 10 update to the smartphone.

Realme X2 Pro India Launch Set for November 20

Realme is having a great time in the Indian market as the company managed to take on Xiaomi with its aggressively priced smartphones. On November 20, Realme will be launching the X2 Pro flagship smartphone in India taking on the likes of Redmi K20 Pro and OnePlus 7T. The Realme X2 Pro is a decent flagship smartphone with specs like 90Hz screen, Snapdragon 855+ SoC, 4000mAh battery, 50W fast charging, 64MP quad-camera setup and premium design.

The X2 Pro could be the cheapest phone in India with a 90Hz screen and we're expecting it to retail at a starting price of Rs 29,999. However, Realme may go after the Redmi K20 Pro which starts at Rs 27,999 and price the X2 Pro even more aggressively. Pricing and availability details of the X2 Pro will come out on November 20.

Alongside the X2 Pro, the company is also expected to bring the Realme X2 as Realme XT 730G to the Indian market. The Realme X2 is a decent mid-range smartphone with specs like Snapdragon 730G chipset, 64MP quad-camera setup, 4000mAh battery and AMOLED screen. The Realme X2 is the same Realme XT smartphone, albeit the Snapdragon 730G chipset. It will be interesting to see how Realme prices these two phones in the Indian market.
