Nokia launches Asha 500, 502 and 503 in India: priced between Rs 4,499 and Rs 6,799

Nokia is all set to launch its 3 new Asha series handsets, namely Asha 500, Asha 502 and Asha 503, in India. All the devices are dual SIM with optional dual standby feature and offer Bluetooth 3.0, 2G and Wi-Fi. These featurephones cum smartphones have been priced between Rs. 4,499 and Rs. 6,799. Let us have a look at the chief specifications of these devices:

Nokia Asha 500:

  • It comes with a display of 2.8 inches that offer 320 x 240 pixels resolution.
  • It will work on Nokia Asha platform with Swipe User Interface.
  • It features a rear camera of 2 mega pixels without a flash.
  • It features a RAM of 64 MB and expandable memory of up to 32 GB.
  • It will run on a battery of 1200 mAh.
  • The launch price of Nokia Asha 500 is Rs. 4,499 and it provides for a decent device at this price.

Nokia Asha 502:

  • It will work on Nokia Asha 1.1 platform with Swipe User Interface and it provides a nice relief from the usual UIs.
  • It features a rear camera of 5 mega pixels with LED flash and this is pretty much the highlight of the package.
  • It features a RAM of 64 MB, internal memory of 64 MB and expandable memory of up to 32 GB.
  • It will run on a battery of 1110 mAh that will last you a little under a couple of days.
  • The launch price of Nokia Asha 502 is Rs. 5,969.

Accepted that samsung provides 768mb of ram in samsung galaxy Y 2013 for 7k but with just a single core cortex A5 processor under the hood and jelly bean on top the experience is the worst one can ever have where as nokias lumia range with 512mb of ram is very smooth and even ashs works smoother than jelly bean on a single core processor.
