These days, the cricket season has become one of the major priorities for the telecom operators of the country. Gone are the days when people used to be stuck to their TV screens while matches happened and the Indian cricket team played. Now, most of the public resorts to the live TV apps on their smartphones and the over-the-top applications to watch cricket matches. Now in a few days beginning September 15, we are going to see the start of the India-South Africa series and JioTV has once again declared itself the go-to destination for cricket lovers by announcing that fans will be able to access live matches during the series.

How to Access Free Live Matches on JioTV

It is worth noting that this is not the first time that Reliance Jio is pulling off a similar move. Previously, during the Cricket World Cup and the Indian Premier League as well, Reliance Jio has leveraged the cricket fever to bring millions of people on its platform. During both the cricketing events, Reliance Jio gave away free access to live matches to its subscribers. This time around also, Reliance Jio is going to do the same. With this, Reliance Jio users will have access to three T20 international matches and three Test Match series. Reliance Jio has also announced that not only will it provide live access to watch the matches, but also the telecom operator will avail the Jio Cricket Play Along game.

Further, the Mukesh Ambani led telco has detailed how the subscribers will be able to access these matches while the series kickstarts in a few days from now. The subscribers of Reliance Jio will have to download the JioTV app from the Google Play Store or the Apple Store, and then they can navigate to the JioCricket HD channel on the application to access all the matches. The live stream of the series will be accessible in many languages including English, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil & Kannada. Reliance Jio has also noted in its release that no other telecom operator is offering this benefit to the subscribers.

JioCricket Play Along to Come Integrated in JioTV App

Reliance Jio also revealed that the live streaming of these matches is the result of Jio’s 5-year partnership with India’s leading broadcaster, Star India under which the two have agreed to make all televised India-cricket matches available to users of JioTV and Hotstar in India. Also, talking about the Jio Cricket Play Along game, the telco said that the new version of the game would come integrated with the JioTV application, this means that participants would be seamlessly able to play while streaming matches on their screens. The Cricket Play Along game will also provide necessary information like scores, match schedules, results and lots more, all in one place.
