Now that the tough times in the data tariff segment are almost over, there seems to be a new battle in the making for the telecom operators in the content segment. Every telco is on the task of improving their content offerings for the subscribers. The operators are forging new content partnerships with giants and launching new apps or features on their already existing OTT platforms. Now Reliance Jio has expanded into both Live TV and video-on-demand and its popular Live TV app, JioTV definitely remains one of the most used apps in its portfolio. As such, Reliance Jio is leaving no stone unturned in making sure that the users who are consuming content on this app are retained. In its latest move, the Mukesh Ambani led telco has introduced four new channels for the users of JioTV, two of which are regional language based.

Four New Movie Channels on JioTV Details
The four channels that Reliance Jio has added on its JioTV platform are movie service channels, and these include the new Jio Bollywood Premium HD channel, Jio Bollywood Classic HD channel. In regional languages, Reliance Jio has added Jio Tamil Hits HD and Jio Telugu Hits HD.
To make the app even better and to raise the bar by a notch, Reliance Jio had also introduced a new picture-in-picture mode for the users of JioTV only a few days back. The new picture-in-picture mode on the JioTV application makes the shows and channels more accessible and easy to watch. The added advantage of the PiP mode on the JioTV is that users will be able to browse the internet, keep texting their friends or do any other work on their device while their favourite show is playing. Thanks to the PiP mode, the video will shrink and play in a thumbnail which the users will be able to move around on their screens.
