HMD Global is preparing to launch a new mobile in India on October 31, and it could be the recently announced Nokia 7 itself. To recall, HMD announced the Nokia 7 smartphone in China on October 19. India could be the first market to get the Nokia 7 after China. However, HMD did not disclose which Nokia phone it’s going to launch. That said, HMD might bring the Nokia 3310 3G variant or launch the rumoured entry-level Nokia 2 or maybe a 4G feature phone.

With the Nokia 7, HMD Global will be looking out to fill the Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 30,000 price point in India, which is the only area there’s no Android-powered Nokia smartphone. Also, the Nokia 7 features decent specifications to be placed in the sub Rs. 30,000 price point. So far, Nokia has launched four Android smartphones in India- the Nokia 3, the Nokia 5, the Nokia 6, and the flagship Nokia 8.
The Nokia 7 offers better specifications than the Nokia 6 and features a glass body, and the metal frame is made out of 7000 series aluminium. It has a 5.2-inch Full HD display, which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4 technology.
Internally, the Nokia 7 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 chipset, mated with 4GB/6GB of RAM, and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. HMD has added a microSD card slot as well for storage expansion.

The Nokia 7 has a 16MP rear camera powered by Zeiss and it has a f/1.8 aperture. A 5MP front-facing camera is present in the smartphone, and more importantly, it has the Bothie mode which lets you use both the rear and front cameras at the same time. The device runs Android Nougat out of the box and has a 3000mAh battery with fast charge support.
