There are some important smartphone launches lined up for the coming weeks, and there’s one from Taiwanese brand HTC, who is expected to launch a flagship phone HTC U11 Plus and mid-range phone HTC U11 Life on November 2. And the latter now paid a visit to benchmark site Geekbench.

The Geekbench listing also revealed key specifications of the HTC U11 Life. As per the listing, the HTC U11 Life will be powered by the Snapdragon 660 SoC, which would be a great option for a mid-range device. The chipset will be accompanied with 3GB of RAM and there might another variant with 4GB of RAM as well.

The Snapdragon 660 SoC is present in a few smartphones such as the Oppo R11, Sharp Aquos R Compact, but none of them is available in the Indian market. If HTC manages to launch the U11 Life in India before the end of 2017, it might increase the company’ sales in the country. The HTC U11 Life has achieved a single core score of 858 and a multi-core score of 4136, which are rather poor scores compared to what other Snapdragon 660 devices have achieved.

Having said that, this listing might be a false one. With a close observation, you can spot the 2049 revision 4 in the identifier line, which rather belongs to Snapdragon 630 SoC. However, the motherboard model number of the chipset suggests sdm660, which belongs to Snapdragon 660 SoC. Going by the scores achieved by the smartphone, the chipset is Snapdragon 630 itself because Snapdragon 660 SoC offers multi-core scores of over 5500.
