Syed Tajuddin, CEO, Coolpad India, said, “The response to Coolpad Play 6 has been overwhelming and there have been lots of queries from customers on the availability of black variant. We are happy to launch the “Sheen Black” variant. At Coolpad we always strive to launch a product that is not only technologically advanced but also matches the most competitive price points in the market and Play 6 is an upfront example of that.”

The Coolpad Cool Play 6 is the only smartphone under Rs. 15,000 to offer 6GB of RAM, and until now, the company has been selling only one variant of the smartphone in Gold colour. Aimed at gaming enthusiasts, the Cool Play 6 comes powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 chipset along with Adreno 510 GPU to handle the graphics.

Optics wise, the smartphone features two sensors at the back of 13MP. One 13MP sensor captures RGB shots, while the other one is a monochrome sensor to capture more light in the images. It also comes with an 8MP selfie camera for those who love selfies. A 5.5-inch display with Full HD resolution dominates the front of the phone.

The Cool Play 6 comes with 64GB of internal storage, which sadly, can't be expanded. And the device boots Coolpad's own Journey UI, and a 4000mAh battery backs the entire package. Coolpad also promised software upgrades to the Cool Play 6.
