Thailand’s telecom operator AIS reports it has prepared its mobile and home internet infrastructure to meet the traffic surge during the New Year 2025 holidays. By enhancing AI and Autonomous Networks, AIS reports it has developed a Self-Evolving Network (SEN), which can autonomously manage usage and capacity in real-time. This allows AIS engineers and technicians to monitor, prevent, and resolve issues across networks before they occur, AIS added.

AI and Autonomous Networks Boost Capacity
“We confirm the readiness of our intelligent networks, both mobile and home internet, ensuring a seamless experience during the New Year holidays—whether travelling, returning home to spend time with family, or joining countdown events nationwide,” AIS announced on December 25.
In addition to implementing AI and Autonomous Networks, which feature intelligent Self-Evolving Networks, we are fully prepared by enhancing communication network capacity at countdown event locations nationwide, AIS added.
Key Routes and Tourist Destinations Covered
The telecom operator further stated that it is focusing on major travel routes for those returning home or heading to tourist destinations across the country by increasing capacity at existing base stations and installing temporary base stations (Mini Towers).
Additionally, AIS is monitoring customer usage 24/7 at over 5,000 locations. The operator is reportedly deploying mobile base station cars and Cell-On-Wheel (COW) mobile units to deliver the best digital experience.
“Our SMART AI GAMER router helps boost signal speed, reduce latency, and increase stability, ensuring superior gaming performance,” AIS said, adding, “We use AI to manage our home internet network, detecting usage levels in real-time across homes and locations. The system proactively solves issues before customers even report them, and we have teams of technicians and service staff ready to assist, ensuring continuous home internet service.”
