Meta AI Comes to Mac With Better Desktop Features
Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta has officially released a Meta AI app for Mac, extending its AI assistant beyond mobile and web.
The new desktop app gives creators, professionals, and businesses faster access to Meta AI, with features tailored for macOS.
One of the new features is window sharing. People can securely share an app window with Meta AI, allowing the assistant to read what is visible, answer questions about documents, and give suggestions based on what is on the screen.
Unlike computer-controlled helpers, Meta AI can see content but does not take control of the Mac.
The app also offers system-wide typing, letting users speak naturally and add text to emails, documents, notes, or other Mac apps.
A quick keyboard shortcut lets Meta AI start instantly without interrupting the user.

Meta is making the desktop app more than a chatbot. For creators and small businesses, the assistant links directly to Instagram and Facebook accounts, letting users ask about likes, check post performance, and get content ideas.
