Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi is bringing two new phones in the coming month to India. While September is a month where all the eyes of the tech enthusiasts are on the new iPhone launches from Apple, Xiaomi will also likely launch its signature Redmi phones. The Redmi Note 17 Pro and Redmi Note 17 Pro Max are the two phones which are expected to launch very soon in India. The launch date for these devices have now been tipped in the country. The Redmi Note 17 Pro has already launched in China. What is interesting here is that the rumours are now also circulating for the India launch of the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max. This is a device which has not launched in China as well.

Redmi Note 17 Pro, 17 Pro Max India Expected Launch Date
The Redmi Note 17 Pro and Redmi Note 17 Pro Max have been tipped to launch in India on September 15, 2026. The specifications for the Redmi Note 17 Pro are expected to be the same as what we saw for the Chinese market. The Note 17 Pro is expected to pack the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 SoC while the higher end Redmi Note 17 Pro Max is expected to pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 SoC.
These two devices will succeed the Redmi Note 15 Pro in India. It is worth noting that the Redmi Note 17 has already launched in India. The Note 17 5G was a soft launch by the brand. Earlier in June, Xiaomi launched the Redmi Turbo 5 5G in India. This was the flagship phone by the brand in the country. The Redmi Note 17 Pro models are expected to compete with the likes of the OnePlus Nord 6, Vivo S2, Vivo V70, and more in the market. Xiaomi is yet to officially tease these devices in India. Further, Xiaomi could also launch the Redmi 17 5G in India very soon.
