Aircel at last countered rival telecom operators by launching two new tariff plans in Tamil Nadu circle. The two tariff plans Aircel launched are Rs 154 and Rs 2018. The former is a monthly pack, while the latter is a yearly pack. Both the plans offer unlimited voice calls and 100 SMS per day for the validity period, but the data offering differs.

Firstly, let' speak about the Rs 154 monthly tariff plan. Aircel says that this Rs 154 recharge plan enables customers to stay connected at a very nominal rate as it gives unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS per day, and 2GB 2G/3G data for 28 days.

Secondly, we have the yearly Rs 2018 tariff plan. Aircel hopes that this yearly plan demonstrates its commitment to keep winning in the marketplace. The Rs 2018 tariff plan is possibly the best plan from Aircel in recent times as it offers unlimited voice calls, 1GB data per day, and 100 SMS per day for 365 days.

“We have been a part of the lives of the people of Tamil Nadu for over 18 years now, and as a company, it has always been our endeavour to offer the best propositions and thereby value for the money that our customers spend. We at Aircel have rooted our offers with this as our primary focus and are committed to serve the people of Tamil Nadu with the best in class offers and propositions.I also take this opportunity to wish the people of Tamil Nadu a very happy and prosperous 2018”, said Sankara Narayanan K, Strategic Business Head Aircel, South, Aircel.

To be noted, Aircel outgoing voice calls in roaming are limited to just Aircel network, and not to other operators. This is pure disappointment from Aircel as other telecom operators are offering unlimited voice calls on roaming to any network. However, in the home circle, customers can enjoy voice calls to any network.

In the past also Aircel launched such yearly plans, but the Rs 2018 tariff plan is the best among all. Back in March 2017, Aircel unveiled a Rs 999 tariff plan under which it offered 36GB 3G data for 365 days. In contrast, other operators such as Airtel, Reliance Jio, and Idea Cellular also has yearly plans of Rs 3,999, Rs 4,999, and Rs 3,999 respectively. At the moment, it's unclear on when Aircel will launch this plan in other circles.
