Boosting India’s AI Sovereignty

The conglomerate said the investment is expected to catalyse an additional USD 150 billion across server manufacturing, advanced electrical infrastructure, sovereign cloud platforms and allied industries, creating a projected $250 billion AI infrastructure ecosystem in India over the next decade.

The roadmap expands on the Group’s existing 2 GW national data centre platform under AdaniConnex, with plans to scale capacity to 5 GW. The company described the proposed deployment as the world’s largest integrated data centre platform, combining renewable power generation, transmission infrastructure and hyperscale AI compute within a unified architecture.

Strategic Big Tech Partnerships Across India

Key partnerships underpinning the expansion include collaborations with Google to establish a gigawatt-scale AI data centre campus in Visakhapatnam and additional capacity in Noida, and with Microsoft for facilities spanning Hyderabad and Pune. The Group is also deepening its engagement with Flipkart to develop a second AI-focused data centre tailored to next-generation digital commerce and high-performance workloads.
