Infosys, an Indian IT services and consulting company, announced on Wednesday the inauguration of a new state-of-the-art, 320,000-square-foot development center (DC) in Kolkata, West Bengal. Built with an investment of over Rs 426 Crore, the facility is designed to accommodate over 4,000 employees in a hybrid working model, focusing on technologies like cloud, AI, and digital across industries such as manufacturing, logistics, and financial services.

Inaugurated by West Bengal CM
The center was inaugurated by the Chief Minister of West Bengal, along with other dignitaries, including the Minister-in-Charge of Information Technology and Electronics and Public Enterprises and Industrial Reconstruction Departments, as well as Infosys leadership, including the Chief Financial Officer, Chief Delivery Officer, Executive Vice President, and other senior officers from the state government and Infosys.

Eco-friendly features
Aligned with its ESG goals, Infosys states that the eco-friendly center features energy-efficient systems, low-energy cooling, smart building automation, rainwater harvesting, wastewater recycling, and modern amenities such as flexible workstations, training facilities and wellness centers.
