Orange has expanded its 5G/5G+ network to the city of Botosani, making it the 40th city in Romania where the high-speed network is available. Starting August 6, residents, public authorities, and companies in Botosani will have access to ultra-fast speeds of up to 1.5 Gbps with the 5G+ network, as well as the best services and technologies provided by Orange, the telco said.

Orange Network Expansion
Orange's 5G/5G+ network now reaches a total of 40 cities across Romania, including Arad, Bacau, Baia Mare, Brasov, Braila, Bucuresti, Craiova, Cluj-Napoca, Constanta, Galati, Iasi, Miercurea Ciuc, Pitesti, Sibiu, Suceava, Oradea, Timisoara, and Targu Mures, as well as localities in Ilfov County and tourist mountain and summer resorts across the country, the company said. Furthermore, Orange added that the number of cities with 100 percent 5G coverage has steadily increased.
Free Access to 5G
To celebrate the expansion, Orange is offering free access to its 5G+ network until August 31 for all subscribers with compatible phones, including PrePay customers in covered areas. Customers switching from PrePay to subscription services can also enjoy 50 percent discounts and unlimited internet starting at 5.5 euros.
New Solutions for Companies
Orange said its 5G network delivers maximum download speeds of up to 1.5 Gbps. New solutions like fixed-point Wi-Fi 5G are now available for public administrations and companies in Botosani, with the Office Net 5G subscription offering fixed internet and a free Wi-Fi 6 router to connect multiple smart devices.
