Google has decided not to bring the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro to India. Just a few days back the company unveiled the smartphones and confirmed their launch for the fall season of 2021. Much recently, Google came out with a list confirming the countries which will see the Pixel 6 series devices coming to their market. Unfortunately, as per a Gizmochina report, India is not on the list. The smartphone will make it to only select countries and Indian Pixel fans will just have to purchase the device from the international markets if they want one. This news is not surprising though.
Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro Not Launching in India Not Surprising
Google isn’t going to be launching the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro in India but it isn’t the least bit surprising. The company has already made it clear that it sees India as a super price-sensitive market and will only bring smartphones that are in the mid-range category to the Indian market.
This is a fair strategy from Google but there’s no denying that there might be many in India who want to get their hands on the flagship Pixel smartphones. According to the list from Google, the Pixel 6 series smartphones will only be available in select international markets – Japan, France, the US, the UK, Canada, Australia, and Taiwan. The smartphone might make it to one or a few more markets if Google decides that.
