STel To Clock The One Million Mark In ‘C’ circlesSTel today announced that it has crossed over one million subscriber base spread across three circles of Bihar & Jharkhand, Odisha & Himachal Pradesh in just 90 days.

Stel has now become the fastest mobile operator in India to clock the 1 million mark in ‘C’ circles.

The company was launched in December 2009 with UASL license and spectrum to operate in six growth circles, of which three are already operational & the remaining circles of Assam, Jammu & Kashmir and North East will be launched in this calendar year.

STel has also set new benchmark by establishing a 24/7 dedicated call centre ‘I Care’ for its distributors & retailers network wherein they are introduced to global customer service standards & trains it’s teams to deliver a world class consumer experience each time they transacts with S Tel.

Mr. Shamik Das, Chief Executive officer, S Tel quoted “We place the consumer at the centre of our business and hence have witnessed wide acceptance of our products and services. We made a positive start in December 2009, becoming the fastest mobile operator to have clocked 1 lac consumer base across the 3 circles of Bihar & Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh and Orissa.

We are delighted to announce that we have achieved a sizeable base of 1 million S Tel subscribers within just 90 days of service launch. We view this as overwhelming customer response, especially considering that our subscribers currently come from only three circles. These are still early days, but such a response reassures us that S Tel brand is being perceived positively. Our value proposition is a simple and transparent brand that seeks to “uncomplicate and demystify? telecom to the Indian consumer and resonates in everything we do – be it our tariffs, VAS, customer care, network experience or retail distribution.
