Chinese smartphone brand, Vivo, today unveiled the Vivo S5 smartphone in China with just a 3mm punch-hole on the top right of the display. The Vivo S5 is a smartphone aimed at the youth and it features quad-camera setup on the rear side. The smartphone comes powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 SoC and up to 8GB of RAM. It has a 4100mAh battery and also offers 22.5W fast charging. For now, the Vivo S5 has been launched only in China, but we’re expecting the company to launch the smartphone in India as well in the coming weeks. To recall, Vivo already launched the Vivo S1 smartphone in India a few months ago. Unlike the Vivo U and Vivo Z series of phones, the Vivo S series is aimed at the offline market and it replaces the company’s Vivo Y series of phones. So Vivo now has Vivo ‘V’ and Vivo ‘S’ lineups aimed at the offline market.

Vivo S5: Specifications and Features
Vivo has been aggressively launching new smartphones in both China and India to take on the competition. The latest launch from Vivo in China is the Vivo S5 and it’s a mid-range smartphone in the world’s largest smartphone market. As for the display, the Vivo S5 rocks a 6.44-inch Super AMOLED display on the front and there’s a 3mm punch-hole on the top right side of the screen. Notably, this is the smallest hole we’ve seen on any smartphone till date. According to Vivo, the S5 offers 91.8% screen-to-body ratio and the display is even HDR10 ready. The handset will be available in three colour options- Ice White, Phantom Blue and Star Black.
