HMD Global, the home of Nokia phones, today announced the launch of its flagship smartphone, the Nokia 9 PureView in India. Priced at Rs 49,999, the Nokia 9 PureView is the first smartphone to launch with five rear cameras in the sub-continent. HMD has added five 12MP rear cameras and the phone also sports a Quad HD+ display. Sadly, it's powered by last year's flagship chip- the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC which might disappoint a lot of users out there as the OnePlus 7 Pro with Snapdragon 855 chipset is available at a starting price of Rs 48,999. The Nokia 9 PureView will be available for purchase in India via Nokia Shop Online and Flipkart; The phone comes in a single Midnight Blue colour option and the first sale will take place on July 10. The handset will also be available across offline stores starting July 17, 2019.

Nokia 9 PureView: Specifications and Features

The highlight of the Nokia 9 PureView is its five cameras on the rear side. It's safe to say the handset features the world’s first five camera array system with ZEISS Optics. There are a total of five 12MP sensors- two RGB sensors and three monochrome sensors. HMD Global says "All five sensors work together to collect up to 10-times the amount of light than a single sensor of the same type."

The smartphone features a 5.99-inch Quad HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio and HDR10 support. Under the hood, it has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform which we have seen on the flagship phones launched in 2018. The Nokia 9 PureView features a glass back and also offers Qi wireless charging. The smartphone comes in a single variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage with no microSD card slot for storage expansion.

As for the software, the Nokia 9 PureView has Android One certification and runs the latest Android 9 Pie software. It will surely be one of the first phones to receive Android Q update once it goes official. That being said, we all know how good HMD Global is when it comes to software updates. Lastly, the Nokia 9 PureView has a 3320mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. The handset also features an in-display fingerprint scanner.

Nokia 9 PureView: India Pricing, Launch Offers and More Details

The premium concierge experience includes exclusive support desk with access to a top-tier customer support team and access to HMD's master trainers for expert tips and tricks that help you get the most out of your Nokia 9 PureView (the company might probably referring to the cameras here).

Talking about other offers, customers purchasing the Nokia 9 PureView using HDFC Credit or Debit cards will receive a 10% cashback. This cashback offer is applicable only for the users purchasing in offline stores and it can be availed on both EMI and regular transactions.
