Latest OxygenOS Stable Update Brings May 2019 Security Patches to OnePlus 6, 6T

OnePlus is now rolling out a stable OxygenOS update to its 2018 smartphones- the OnePlus 6 and the OnePlus 6T. The OxygenOS 9.0.6 update is rolling out to the OnePlus 6, while the OnePlus 6T is getting OxygenOS 9.0.14 version. While the version number of both smartphones differ, it brings the same features to the table. The update adds May 2019 security patches to both the smartphones alongside fixing general bugs. However, the latest features of OxygenOS like Zen Mode, Screen Recorder, Fnatic mode are not included with this update. To recall, OnePlus rolled out Zen Mode and Screen Recorder features to OnePlus 6, 6T smartphones with latest OxygenOS Beta build. The new OxygenOS stable update is currently rolling out to users in a phased manner, so it will reach your smartphone over the next couple of weeks.

OnePlus Improves Front-Facing Camera Performance of OnePlus 6T

The update which is also rolling out to the OnePlus 6T will improve photo quality from the front-facing camera, as noted by OnePlus in the official update changelog. OnePlus also added support for the quick pairing of OnePlus Bullets Wireless 2 headphones and improved stability, compatibility of Bluetooth.

As noted, OnePlus has fixed general bug fixes and improvements to the overall smartphone. Lastly, OnePlus fixed three bugs which users of OnePlus 6, 6T reported in the past; Firstly, the company fixed issue related to ringtone for SMS, second, the speed dial getting cleared issue has been fixed, and lastly, the Chinese company has fixed issue loading credentials required Wi-Fi requiring login.
