A few days back, we got to see the launch of one of the most awaited devices of 2019, the OnePlus 7 Pro. The phone received massive hype across the world and continues to receive it even now. Now, the OnePlus 7 Pro and the OnePlus 7 standard variant both come with the latest OxygenOS 9.5 and everyone knows that sparing the clean Android UI, the OxygenOS is the best custom ROM out there. Since this is the latest version of the OS from OnePlus, there are bound to be some changes, updates and new features. Without further ado, let's take an in-depth look at what the latest OxygenOS has to offer.

Fnatic Mode for Gamers

Nowadays, it is not hard to find most smartphones with a dedicated gaming mode. However, with the OnePlus 7 Pro, things take an interesting turn. This time around, OnePlus has turned up things up a notch and introduced the 'Fnatic' mode which will enable your hardware to push the limits to the max, and it will also facilitate a distraction-free gaming experience. In the Fnatic mode, the calls and notifications will be automatically blocked, the second SIM won't be able to access the network, and there will be a "Display enhancement" toggle that will boost the overall brightness of the panel and enhance the details of the "light and dark parts of the gaming display."

Also, you can decide to take incoming calls from the speaker, and you can customise the notifications to show up as text-only or as heads up notifications. All these features will supercharge your gaming, and since the OnePlus doesn't lack in performance, it will be the best gaming experience on any phone. It is worth noting that to turn on the Fnatic mode, you will first have to toggle the Gaming Mode on since this mode is something that takes the Gaming Mode beyond its normal level.

Native Screen Recorder and Customisable Screenshots

This latest version of OxygenOS is also getting a native screen recorder which will come with a lot of customisation options. The native screen recorder will give you the option of recording system audio or the audio through microphone. There will also be options to choose the quality of the recording, ranging from the default screen resolution of QHD+ to 1170x540. You will also be able to customise the bitrate from 20 Mbps to 1 Mbps. Owing to this native screen recorder, now users will find it very easy to record gameplay footage, or make instructional videos. Some other features will include, changing orientations, showing on-screen touches and automatic recording pause while turning off the screen.

The OxygenOS 9.5 will be getting a screenshot editor as well that will give you more editing options and controls. You will be able to crop, blur or quickly highlight any information on screen before sharing the screenshot with anyone.

Zen Mode for Distraction Free Phone Usage

The Zen Mode on the latest OxygenOS is OnePlus' way of telling that it is serious about phone addiction. Turning on the Zen Mode on your OnePlus device will shut off all apps on your phone except calling functions and camera so that you can disconnect and spend time with your family and friends or anything on those lines. In case you use your phone for more than 2 hours, you will also get an alert to activate Zen Mode, although when you receive the alert will be customisable. You will also be able to take screenshots while on the Zen Mode.

Upcoming OxygenOS Features: Work-Life Balance and Spam call and text filtering

OnePlus will also be working on two new features which will improve the experience drastically on the latest devices. The Work-Life balance feature will let you switch between two modes – Work and Life, wherein you will be able to receive notifications from specific work-related apps only when you activate the work mode. For example, you can decide to receive notifications from email and text and turn down the notifications from social media and games while you're on the work mode. On the other hand, the life mode will help you stop notifications from work-related apps and continue receiving notifications from social media and other apps.

The Spam call and text filtering feature will allow the users to stop spam calls, and the text filtering will sort the text messages according to priority. OnePlus has illustrated that urgent text SMS which are related to tickets or bill payments will be shown with priority.
